Annette Island is a truly unique experience for all visitors old and new. Most people who come here for one reason or another are irresistibly drawn to return.

We are located on Annette Island in the community of Metlakatla. It is at the very tip of the Southeast Panhandle of Alaska, about 15 miles south of Ketchikan and 700 miles north of Seattle. This special island, a green and purple jewel surrounded by the bountiful ocean. At any time of year, Annette Island is incredibly beautiful!

Our waters in Southeast are abundant with salmon, halibut, humpback whales, porpoise and many other wonderful sights.

Just imagine how you will feel after landing that incredible King Salmon, watching humpback whales feed and porpoises play or working to pull aboard your very own halibut. We welcome you to come and enjoy the hospitality available to you!

We will accommodate you in The Tuck'em Inn. This first class lodging has private rooms and comfortable community living area. It is close to the breakwater, so you can get out on the water bright and early!

Local attractions in Metlakatla might include; the sight of Purple Mountain (it's really purple!), with its picturesque waterfall, Yellow Hill (it too is really yellow!) a climb to the top will yield a 360 degree view of the community and surrounding waters, there the totem poles which you might find interesting and depending on the tour schedule, Native dance groups perform at the Longhouse.

Of interest are the many native artists, including carvers and jewelry makers, whose works are worthy of your attention. Many of these artists display their wares at the Artist Village, a community operated facility.
